KOBE, INC. BY JAEVONN HARRIS ~ INSTAGRAM.COM/THE__CORNER

Today marks the untimely loss of basketball icon Kobe Bryant. Kobe, who’s greatness I’m probably not even qualified to describe, is mourned by millions if not billions, worldwide.

As always, when someone of incredible stature dies there is always an asshole, who wants to drive home the point of “he’s just a basketball player” and/or “you don’t even know him”.

Such words are always wildly unnecessary and does nothing but show how idiotic some people can be.

It is easy to criticize people over their emotional attachment to celebrities, material possessions, and even the intangible things pop culture offers.

However, the emotional attachment to these things can often have a deeper meaning than their surface level presentation.

WHEN THE LEGENDS LINK by Jaevonn Harris

WHEN THE LEGENDS LINK by Jaevonn Harris

To me Kobe just wasn’t a basketball player. He was a strategist, a person whose physique was overshadowed by his brilliant mind.

The thing that impressed me the most wasn’t necessarily basketball, it was Kobe’s just other-worldly approach to life.

The fact he spoke several languages, his incredible work ethic, his obsessiveness with conquering his opponent, it is something truly to admire.

When a person or thing possess this much enigma of course you’re going to develop an attachment.

People crude remarks about a person just being a celebrity or any phrase that diminish significance just made me think about a classic piece of artwork I did.

The piece “THIS DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING” actually meant the exact opposite, everything on the picture actually mean something!

THIS DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING by Jaevonn Harris

THIS DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING by Jaevonn Harris

Whether it was the dropout bear that helped solidified my love for Ye, or the kingdom key from Kingdom Hearts, the video game that I can remember playing for countless hours trying to complete it.

This things may not mean anything, but given the right circumstances & the passage of time, anything can mean everything!

Not too long ago, I was listening to T.I.’s Expeditiously,(great podcast check it out) and famed radio-hpst & entrepreneur, Charlamagne Tha God, was the special guest for the week.

In that episode they discussed religion, (yes a very sticky topic for everyone) and the gentlemen were confused on how the whole power dynamic between God and Jesus work.

They(specifically T.I.) were confused about how no one could get to God without going thru the son, Jesus. They couldn’t understand how the Son could have power over the father.

As a devoted Christian, I thought quite a bit how I could explain a somewhat confusing concept to a non-believer or simply anyone who would want to know how that work.

One morning at work, it suddenly came to me. What we know as The Holy Trinity, (God, Jesus, & the Holy Spirit) works in tandem and you can’t have one without the other.

images.jpeg

A simple way to grasp this is to think about it as a bike, God & Jesus are the wheels and the Holy Spirit is the handle bars. Without all three the bike would not be able to work effectively and that’s how the Holy Trinity works.

Before the Holy Spirit was introduced in the New Testament it took a lot to communicate with God. Sacrifices and a bunch of stuff most people couldn’t keep up with today had to be done in order to talk to the Big Man.

You can think of God pre New Testament as a unicycle. It was God solely and that was effective but difficult to navigate. The difficulty of riding a unicycle can be adjacent to the difficultly of maintaining an effective relationship with God in those days.

Thus the New Testament(the bike) makes life much easier to deal with.

In this world of overachievers and plain old doers, sometimes being a consumer can get a bad rep. Even though it is consumers that allow businesses and especially entrepreneurs to thrive.

original-3883593-1.jpg

You often hear people debate about producer vs consumer. Consumption only becomes a problem if there is too much consuming without producing. Consuming should prompt action eventually.

Take for example, this weekend when I was watching Netflix’s Carole & Tuesday, an anime about two girls and their come up in the music industry. While watching the show I was so intrigued about the world building, characters, and the music.

While taking all that in, I was inspired to make new music that is directly influenced from the show. That’s what being a consumer is about. A person can’t be a producer without someone to consume the content (well they can but it would fall on deaf ears).

I didn’t just consume consume consume, I took something as pure entertainment and allowed it to naturally spark action for me to take.

Now I found a new fav show and made new music, that my listeners are sure to enjoy! (My new album, Gotta Love Where Ya At out Jan. 2020.)

THE BASEMENT: FIRST SIGN OF INDEPENDENCE

THE BASEMENT

FIRST SIGN OF INDEPENDENCE

The Basement has been a cornerstone in the community for years. Basements were so important that there was a whole tv show acting like they was in a basement.

Rap City’s The Basement helped emulate the raw feeling of listening to music in your basement, you actually felt like a guest in Big Tigger’s (pictured right) home.

Rap City’s The Basement helped emulate the raw feeling of listening to music in your basement, you actually felt like a guest in Big Tigger’s (pictured right) home.

You may ask yourself why would someone act like they was in a basement, what is the significance of that? The answer is, the basement represents an organic feel and serves as a starting point towards an individually led life.

I remember the basement in several ways. The Basement had minimal supervision by adults which allowed you to operate without someone watching your every move.

Basements were the place for parties, creating music, many dreams starts and unfortunately ends in the basement. The Basement as previously mentioned is only supposed to be a starting point.

When in the Basement mindset, expectations are low, you can work with restrictions, and you’re living life without urgency. It’s all about fun and just making the most out of the situation.

But at some point, the Basement should be left to cover higher ground in life. It is acceptable to see a 17 year old or younger in the basement but the older you get the less acceptable it becomes.

Reason being is the Basement is limited in what can be accomplished. If the Basement started as your gym, you wouldn’t work out down there forever, even if you may have all the essentials, the more you get into working out the more you would desire a true facility.

Making music in the Basement can get tiresome at some point as well, you have to worry about the noise or the quality or even the overall atmosphere. At some point you will desire to upgrade and surpass the four wall limit.

No matter what you do the goal is to obtain complete freedom to operate in the full capacity that is desired for yourself. The Basement helps us realize our origins and with enough work & dedication anything we did starting in the basement can be taken worldwide.

ISMs and its DANGERS

ISMs and its DANGERS

Mindset may be the most impactful factor to how we live our daily lives. People’s mindset dictate the way they live and the way they live impacts their world and its surroundings. It is wise to know and understand the “isms” of the world and its impact to ourselves and others.

  1. re·al·ism

/ˈrē(ə)ˌlizəm/

noun

  1. 1.
the attitude or practice of accepting a situation as it is and being prepared to deal with it accordingly.

One of the keys to operating successfully in life is dealing with situations realistically. Knowing when to call it quits is a strong skill set that is under-utilized. The problem with realism is people become way too pessimistic. They confuse their pessimism with “realism” and being a “realist”.

A realist can not only see the negative but can also see the positive silver lining. Those who live in realism too deeply might abandon their dreams completely even when they shouldn’t. Example: maybe you can’t be a professional basketball player, but basketball is your passion undoubtedly. Should you give up totally on basketball? No you shouldn’t. You can do other things surrounding basketball. Such as: sports analyst, coach, sports lawyer, sports doctor, YouTube commentator, sports writer, etc. There are so many avenues that your passion can take you but if you’re too focused on being realistic, you’ll never be able to see the other opportunities.

B. i·de·al·ism

/īˈdē(ə)ˌlizəm/

noun

  1. 1.
the practice of forming or pursuing ideals, especially unrealistically.

Idealism is basically the antithesis of realism. It's looking at everything with rose colored glasses. I can be at fault with looking at things too idealistic. Pursuing plans with the intent of everything going perfect is the surest way that nothing goes perfect.

Murphy’s Law says, “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”. Therefore all mishaps should be planned for accordingly, which can be a difficult task for those who wished for things to go exactly how it is in their head. It will never go exactly the way it is in your head.

Idealism often leads to disappointment. The Ideal outcome can create expectations that can never be met. If you lived long enough you know expecting too much from imperfect humans is the quickest way to being let down.

If you don’t wanna be let down and experience heartbreak a thousand times over, Control over your ideals is a requirement.

our-idealism-cause-us-to-miss-out-happiness.jpg

C.op·ti·mism

/ˈäptəˌmizəm/

noun

  1. 1.
hopefulness and confidence about the future or successful outcome of something.
"the talks had been amicable and there were grounds for optimism"

Why-Optimism-Matters-for-Student-Success-Now-and-After-Graduation1-300x225.jpg

Optimism can work as a beautiful balance of being idealistic and realistic. An optimist can deal with the realities in life while vehemently working towards an ideal goal. The only downfall of optimism is coming to grips with knowing everyone’s future can’t be saved.

It's easy to see someone or something for what it is but it's like pulling a tooth admitting that the future of said person or thing simply can’t be saved.

When faced with this difficulty the optimist should find peace in the actions they took to reach the ideal state regardless of the outcome their actions produced.

I would like to leave you with a quote from the king of ISMs himself, Chicago Rapper, GLC.

Apply yourself to supply your wealth

Only limitations you'll ever have are those that you place upon yo'self

HOW POVERTY RESTRICTS AND ENFORCE A CAGED MINDSET

HOW POVERTY RESTRICTS AND ENFORCE A CAGED MINDSET

poverty-mindset-logo.png

The other day I was covering a lot of ground in Michigan and it just open my eyelids on how much I couldn’t see in my own state because of restrictions.

Financial restrictions close a person off to so much, including traveling.

When people aren’t given the resources to explore complacency can set in.

When people become complacent, excuses comes in like a tidal wave, giving people the most absurd reasons to why they CAN’T do something.

People start to act like they don’t want something because they don’t have access to it.

Which was the case w/ Gucci Mane, an American rapper, who’s been known to have extensive run-ins with the law.

However after his most recent bid, life changed for him completely, transforming Gucci into a whole new man, so much so people started a running joke saying he was a clone.

Gucci Mane, spoke with his interviewer, Charlamagne Tha God (Popular Radio Host), that he would come up with half-ass excuses to why he would not want to visit a foreign country. At the time, he couldn’t visit foreign land because of his criminal record.

Knowing the criminal record was the true reason, Gucci’s mindset instead deferred to rejecting places he couldn’t visit in the first place because he couldn’t face the truth about his restrictions.

At that time Gucci Mane wasn’t financially impoverished but his mindset was.

Poverty can be literal and figurative.

In either case it restricts a person in everything they do.

Poverty restricts a person dating life because poverty can create negative thinking that convinces oneself he or she is not enough.

Poverty can restrict academic performance, sport performance, anything that require human effort, poverty can negatively impact it.

To lose and shred the caged mindset, one must start to think free. This thought typically occurs when a person acquires more money but it must start before then.

People can start by choosing what they allow their minds to see everyday.

Growing up in my neighborhood I saw pitiful things, things that were detestable to me and below my standard of living. If I would’ve abided by only what I saw in my communities, I wouldn’t have amounted to much. I decided to place my eyes on different sources.

That first step for me was GQ MAGAZINE. The lifestyle depicted in that magazine was one I knew I wanted the moment I laid my eyes on it.

Seeing that helped shift my mindset from impoverished limited thinking to unlimited potential.

Whether its a magazine, movie, or even a family member. Seeing something opposite of the reinforced poverty lifestyle can spark the changed needed for the individual to escape a caged mindset. Once the mind is set free, their is no bounds to what one can see.

DEM FRANCHIZE BOYZ: NATIONAL HEROES

DEM FRANCHIZE BOYZ: NATIONAL HEROES

Not too long ago, I was listening to the White Tee Instrumental by Dem Franchize Boyz because I love that beat so much. Everything about it just hit so hard but that beat prompted something else for me as well. I thought about the lyrics and how it impacted the community at large during that time period.

new-fashion-model-sample-white-tee-shirt.png_350x350.png

Yup in My White Tee !!

The song White Tee was about A Basic Plain White T-Shirt, yup that was it. What made it so powerful though is the song was basically a changing of the guard for urban fashion. At the time everyone was stuck on Throwback Jerseys. Throwback Professional jerseys was the crave and was worn by anyone who meant anything to the culture.

jay z snoop.jpg

However, jerseys was expensive, at least they were back then because we were children/teenagers who didn’t have their own source of income yet.

Especially if you had siblings, keeping up with the trend of popular jerseys could become an expensive task. I roughly remember my jerseys being at least $70.

Also, you couldn’t get the jersey alone you had to get the matching fitted that was an extra $40. Then you had to get some fire kicks, not no bullshitters either! That was at least $120 if you was serious about your kick game.

Now here’s how Dem Franchize Boyz essentially became heroes. That group basically said yeah all that is cool or whatever but my guy all I need is this white tee and I’m good.

The White Tee became a nationwide phenomenon and saved plenty of money in black households.

You could buy a pack of white tees or just a singular tee. And the tees were available everywhere, from the gas station to Walmart.

White Tees were extremely versatile as well. I could wear them as street clothes I could dress them up but no matter what if I didn’t have anything I could always go “Man I got a white tee I’ll be straight”. All you needed was some fire jeans and crispy pair of forces and you was good to go.

So on behalf of those who adolescent years was during the throwback/white tee era, I would like to thank Dem Franchize Boyz for help saving me from having a trash fit and keeping money in my family’s pocket. I would have to wait till my mother got paid for those jerseys or wait for my grandmother to get her check. But those white tees man my family was coming home with those like it was toilet paper.

My grandma would leave the house empty handed and returned with a white tee. And she would iron the tee for us extra crispy giving it that crazy sauce so I can really go nuts in any environment.

All in all the white tee can still be worn to this day with no hassle, its just done seldom because of the flashy times we live in.

DEAD DECISIONS

DEAD DECISIONS

sasuke return to konoha.jpg

I recently came across an old Naruto panel, that featured Sasuke returning to his home village (Konoha).

His goal during that point in the story was to destroy Konoha, for using his brother as a scapegoat for a foul plan that involved the massacre of his entire clan.

Sasuke speaking with the previous 4 Hokages.

Sasuke speaking with the previous 4 Hokages.

Not being totally evil and still needing to be convinced, Sasuke has Orochimaru resurrect the previous hokages(that’s the show’s version of presidents)  to determine if he should destroy the village or not.

Each told their story about how they felt they went wrong and how their decisions led to today’s mess.

That story always made me think man it would be easier to make decisions if you could talk to those that already died and learned where they went wrong first hand.

[yes I know some people can think they can talk to the dead but they’re not talking to the dead they’re talking to “familiar spirits” but that’s discussion for another day].

If we could hear first hand from people like

MLK or Malcolm X and ask them where they think their fatal mistake was or what would they have done differently,

kingandx.0.0.jpg

It would help plenty people from making irrational, rash, and foolish decisions.

Much like how Sasuke talk with the Hokages deterred him from wanting to destroy his home village.

If it wasn’t for that conversation, Sasuke would have to do like us in the real world and simply observe people’s lives and study their every move to determine where things went astray.

They say a wise person learn from the mistakes of others but without a direct conversation we’re limited to what we can learn about them.

Which is why God probably made it so we couldn’t communicate with the dead. I believe our journey would be overly simplified and it would take away one of the key points of living, which is growth.

Now I must continue to observe those who have fallen every move to avoid their pitfalls but can’t act like  I don’t still yearn for an intimate conversation with them everyday so I can avoid rash, irrational decisions like Sasuke. (Never as extreme as Sasuke but you know the vibes).

YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT

YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT

NoCap.png

Most of us have codes that we live by, standards that we set forth for ourselves that we try to live by daily.

Sometimes the point of a code can be misunderstood.

Some people like to point out how much of a morally upright person they are or even call out someone who aren’t living by a certain code.

At the end of the day, codes are for no one but ourselves alone.

It’s easy to fool the world especially with technology helping us everyday.

I can trick the world into thinking I’m a millionaire, a stand up guy, a ladies man, anything I want them to believe but in the end, I’m the one who has to go to sleep with all the lies And fronts I put up during the day.

When I think of the code I have for myself, I do actions that make me live by my code because I don’t want to disappoint myself, who cares what anyone else thinks.

I pride myself on keeping my word. It hurts my soul when I’m put in predicaments when I can’t keep my word.

Who cares about disappointing the other party, it’s about me knowing that I failed to live to a standard I set for myself.

When your code/ethics is questioned, no one will be present to hold yourself accountable. And if there is any sense of humanity in yourself, your heart will be convicted anytime you know you failed to live up to your standard. Whether you decide to make the applicable changes will be up to you.

REALIZED YOU’RE CLOSE

REALIZED YOU’RE CLOSE

The other day was I was playing Super Mario Run on my phone. I usually just play it to pass time, but I seen that was I close to a big in-game achievement. Something called “Princess Peach’s Cake(PPC)”. PPC was available for a while but you needed a bunch of a requirements fulfilled to acquire it so I never paid attention to it.

See How Close I Am. If I Had Time I would Play it All Day until I got the Cake.

See How Close I Am. If I Had Time I would Play it All Day until I got the Cake.

However, I noticed I was much closer to fulfilling the requirements than I expected which inclined me to keep playing.

Which brings me to my point. Once you realize how close you are to an insurmountable feat, you must continue going.

The key in moving forward is not paying too much attention to the end result.

We be looking for that bell, like “DOG WYA??!” LOL

We be looking for that bell, like “DOG WYA??!” LOL

Just keep working, constant progress and when you look up you’ll be surprised at how far you’ve come.

It’s just like our boxing sessions. Exercising for ten minutes a round, already sounds exhausting by typing it. Putting that much strain on your body (possibly mind) without stopping sounds crazy but after keeping our mind on the workout we barely realize the time that flies by.

When you’re in the grind, its no time to worry about time, its only time to work!

EVERYTHING YOU KNOW

EVERYTHING YOU KNOW

teach-everything-1140x761.jpg

I remember when I first started my self improvement journey one of the first things I learned was not to reveal everything you know. For a while this made sense because well before WELÇOME© existed, me and a former partner of mine was trying to get shirts made and no one would give us info on how to get anything made. Probably because people were scared of competition and no one told them so they kept the cycle of ignorance going. So I thought that was the natural way of doing things.

Then as I started to accomplish more I began to notice, telling everything you know can’t work against you…if you’re a constant learner. How can you tell everything you know, if you don’t know everything? *minds explode*

People who are scared to share information, may seem threatened by the person who seeks the information or may believe the knowledge they hold is scarce and everyone shouldn’t have access to it.

Granted everything isn’t anyone business and its totally up to you to decide what people should be privy too. However this notion of people gaining a “1-Up” over someone or just using you information is sorta ridiculous.

Always keep in mind most times people aren’t going to use the information they seek from you, so it doesn’t hurt you to tell them because they lack the willpower/fortitude to act on the info anyway.

You can always tell when someone is serious, especially when you make it to a position where people regularly asks you for advice.

I’m not anywhere near where I want to be yet I still receive messages asking for advice on the regular basis. This idea of people “1-Uping” you can’t be fathomable if you keep yourself in active learning mode. Constantly improving is what keeps you ahead, not actively destroying those who seek t get ahead.

It may be a “dog eat dog” world, but there isn’t a need to move vicious all the time. Be willing to extend the helping hand because really the only one who suffer, is the fool who fails to act.

AUDITORY ASSISTANCE

5b4c1f5ebd74202771f111a2_home_fifth_desktop_2x_opt.jpg

After these ridiculously hard finals, I had to take a mandatory 82 hour nap (extreme boost, but you know the vibes lol). However reflecting on the preparation of finals, my appreciation for audio learning went up extremely.

During the study sessions for finals, I would always think about the infamous line spat by elderly people, “If you can learn those lyrics, you can learn those _______(fill in the blank)”.

Then, I thought about why could I remember those lyrics? Because sitting down listening really made all the difference. When I’m reading notes sometimes I can get caught in a daze. I would still be reading but if I’m too deep in the daze then I WON’T be comprehending.

With audio, the voice inflections and random noise help beat the redundancy of reading thus helping me remember more. In fact, for our MPRE exam (that’s an ethics exam for law students), listening to a review session, help me remember exact answers to certain questions.

When I seen the question, I said “oh I remember exactly what she said about this” and I was able to fill in the correct answer.

Also, it helped for my other exams, the audio triggered exact sentences they said that directly helped on my exams.

So if you need assistance in retaining information give audio a try. I don’t have the science to back these findings but I did just provide you with key examples from experience.

And doesn’t that count for something?

I CAN HANDLE IT NOW BRO

I CAN HANDLE IT NOW BRO

Look at these black brothers striving for success!

Look at these black brothers striving for success!

My upcoming schedule for school seems like hell on paper. I have six classes and taking two of the hardest courses in law school history! Whoa!!! lmao.

My schedule would’ve gave first semester me the shakes. Now I feel like I can handle such a rigorous course load. Of course confidence in being able to adequately handle such a demanding course load comes with  experience.

Prior to my entry into law school, I never studied a day in my life. I didn’t know what studying was. I always say if I had my law school work ethic in high school and college, I would’ve had a 4.6 GPA. #NoCap

Entering school in 2017 gave me a super shock to my core. I knew it was material I couldn’t bs with unless I wanted to flunk out upon arrival.

Over time I learned and adjusted w/ new study strategies that helped me get better and better grades each term (after having a second semester slump).

Now being back on top in my studies I feel ready to take the new challenge of a rigorous course load. In other words, I can handle it now bro.

IF YOUR RECORD LABEL PAGE DON’T LOOK LIKE THIS, DELETE IT!

IF YOUR RECORD LABEL PAGE DON’T LOOK LIKE THIS, DELETE IT!

Music marketing today takes a lot more than radio interviews and freestyles. It largely involves active fan engagement via social media. Let’s take this time to highlight a record label that’s doing marketing correctly!

Young Thug’s YSL RECORDS

The first thing the label page does right is embracing memes. Being that Young Thug is such a polarizing figure, plenty is said about him on the internet.

IMG_0A02B182925D-1.jpeg

Whether its positive or negative, the yslrecords page uses memes to its advantage, using memes to propel Young Thug as a bigger than life persona, making sure its something to make him look better.

Memes build active social fan engagement while giving Thug his own stamp with his own platform.

I. MUSIC IN ACTION

Whether its a kid skateboarding or thugger himself, showing the music in action also gives YSLRECORDS a perceived dominance.

So Much Fun: https://music.apple.com/us/album/so-much-fun/1476636939

So Much Fun: https://music.apple.com/us/album/so-much-fun/1476636939

Showing Thugger get hype and a kid land tricks to Thugger tunes in the background, subconsciously (and consciously) paint the picture of how to enjoy the music.

Thug’s latest album is, So Much Fun, what better way to promote the album than to actually showing people having fun.

II. ACTIVE ARTIST SUPPORT

IMG_4728.jpg

Thug isn’t the only one getting shine on the yslrecords page. Artists’ like Lil Keed & Gunna, are also given the same boost as Thug w/ fan engagement, the use of memes, and a consistent posting schedule so the artist never seem to be out of your face too long.

After Ross’ monumental run w/ MMG, it was hard to fathom we could see another Artist ran label generate the success and support we seen w/ Rick Ross & Maybach Music Group.

Thug is taking active time to develop his artists, making them consistent with projects and jumping on tracks with them and giving them the much needed hype that every artist need.

Now Gunna is becoming a household name, Lil Keed will be one as well and we can get excited for what Lil Duke, have in store.

DOING SOMETHING FOR YOUR SELF DOES SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF

DOING SOMETHING FOR YOUR SELF DOES SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF

IMG_3724.jpg

Nothing gives a black man more pride than a clean car or a new haircut. For me its that fresh new haircut that I love getting every two weeks. After a proper haircut you feel like you can take on the world.

When I came home from my haircut I realized man doing something for your self really does something for yourself. When my cut isn’t fresh, I don’t feel like getting fresh. I’ll throw on some busted J’s, hoop shorts, a worn out WELÇOME© hoodie and call it day.

But man when that haircut comes its a different story, boy I’m breaking them ones out the box so quick. I’m taking a nice long shower, (heavy on the DOVE beloved), and you guessed it, the newest of WELÇOME© is coming out the closet.

Having a clean cut just make you want to explore the world more. You feel like a man about business. The good thing is a haircut doesn’t have to be the only thing to give you that feeling. It can be  getting your nails done, running a mile in the gym, volunteering, etc.

Whatever it is that gives you the feeling do not hesitate to go in 100% on it, so you too can feel like a person about action! The world is moving too fast to just be sitting around. Encourage Yourself and get to it!

THE FIRST IS NEVER THE GREATEST

THE FIRST IS NEVER THE GREATEST

After listening to a recent sermon that involved the teaching of Genesis, I’ve come to realized the first really isn’t ever the greatest. Now of course there are exceptions, but here it seems like the General Rule is more prevalent.

Lets start w/ a list of firsts..

ADAM

ADAM AND EVE.jpg

Adam was the first man ever created. Created by God himself but yet he’s not the greatest man ever. Plenty characters(still unsure on using the word characters when they were real people but you know the vibes) in the Bible surpassed Adam in significance. You have Paul, the christian murderer turned greatest missionary, Solomon, the wisest man to ever live, and Moses, whose life helped served as an inspiration to the ultra classic animated film The Prince of Egypt(Who doesn’t love that movie? If you don’t boy stop reading this!!!)

JAMES NAISMITH

I’D PLAY HIM WITH THE SAME SUIT ON AND DROP 50 ! LOL.

The founder of basketball, James Naismith. Come on I don’t even need more than a sentence to say how James Naismith, is by far not the greatest basketball player and he invented the game. In fact, He would probably die from trying to check Michael Jordan and he wouldn’t last 2 seconds against the weakest WNBA player.

PS1

The Playstation gave me great memories some of which I’ve shared in previous articles. But be real, you would take a PS4 over a PS1 any day. The graphics are terrible compared to now and its no internet! Plus the PS5 is around the corner, PS1 if you don’t get yo bum ass on lol!

FOUNDATION

Although these things may not be the greatest, they serve an integral role. All the aforementioned things serve as a foundation for greatness. Without Adam, there is no human race. Without James Naismith, I would never be screaming my lungs out for Lebron James, and Without the PS1, I would never be confused to whether I’m watching a real game on TNT or is it just an exhibition match in NBA2K.

No the first may never be the greatest but the first is great at being a foundation. And nothing worthwhile stands without solid foundation.
