SLIGHTEST READJUSTMENT
SLIGHTEST READJUSTMENT
We can be so used to doing a task a certain way that we can blind ourselves to the error of our ways. The error could be the slightest wrong but if it was to be corrected it would make everything better, well this actually describes no one other than myself.
If you follow me then you know first and foremost I am an Artist and I love Drawing my little heart out lol. Sometimes when I finished a drawing I would notice I would have something on the drawing more slanted then it should be.
I would think “man but from this angle it was looking straight”, then when it was finished it would be all over the place smh lol.
One day I just decided to actually put the sketchbook in front of me, I usually draw with my book to the side while I look at my phone for the reference. That day I reversed the positions and after I was done drawing lord behold things didn’t look so crooked.
It made me realize how much impact the slightest change could have. Much like when I was trying to get my Driver’s License, I failed multiple times mainly due to lack of comfort behind the wheel. There was a stark difference when I finally passed my test.
Besides the unshakeable determination to pass the biggest factor this go around was that I had eyeglasses. Who would’ve thought the reason I wasn’t actually passing my test was because I couldn’t see! LOL !
Actually seeing what the heck was going on around me gave me an extreme fit of ease, I passed the test without having access to a car to drive and not being behind the wheel for a year+(maybe more) all because I made the tiniest decision to finally get glasses.
Think about what is holding you back in life and how desperately you want to overcome that hump. If you take a minute to actually think you will find out its only gonna take the slightest change to get that big result you’re hoping for.

WHY SUPPLIES ARE SO HIGH
WHY SUPPLIES ARE SO HIGH
I always wondered why supplies (i.e. art, music,) are so expensive. It doesn’t matter what field you are in the supplies are always more than what you would like to pay.
I think it clicked it to me after my art show and being in the final term of law school.
When the supplies are used the right way, there is no cap on return of investment. I could spend thousands on art supplies: getting paper, markers, pencils etc. and make it all back with one sale. (Maybe a few more depending on expenses).
Since supplies are expensive, it’s disrespectful when people try to constantly low ball artists. It costs to produce fire please don’t think $20 should be the most you should pay for anything.
Also, I have this thought when it comes to law school. Although people complained for years about the prices of schooling and whether or not you need it, I think law school may be expensive for a different reason.
The impact and return on investment from law school can extremely outweigh the cost of education if your JD, that’s your Juris Doctor degree, is used correctly.
Look at people like Bryan Stevenson, Barack Obama, Johnnie Cochran, and many other countless examples, whose impact greatly exceeds the cost of law school.
What is hundreds of thousands in costs and possible debt compared to the chance to literally save people lives, guide the free world, or take arguably the most notorious case in history.
These opportunities are almost priceless.
When you can acknowledge and accept everything has a barrier of entry, you can respect the fact that these prices are set for a reason.
When you spend that $1,000 on a keyboard, or those few hundreds on computer software, you won’t let that money go to waste, especially if its your own hard earned money!
No sir! You’re going to put your best foot forward making sure every penny spent will earn you back something even if its only spiritual gain and not a monetary increase.

THIS MEAN SOMETHING
THIS MEAN SOMETHING
Today marks the untimely loss of basketball icon Kobe Bryant. Kobe, who’s greatness I’m probably not even qualified to describe, is mourned by millions if not billions, worldwide.
As always, when someone of incredible stature dies there is always an asshole, who wants to drive home the point of “he’s just a basketball player” and/or “you don’t even know him”.
Such words are always wildly unnecessary and does nothing but show how idiotic some people can be.
It is easy to criticize people over their emotional attachment to celebrities, material possessions, and even the intangible things pop culture offers.
However, the emotional attachment to these things can often have a deeper meaning than their surface level presentation.
To me Kobe just wasn’t a basketball player. He was a strategist, a person whose physique was overshadowed by his brilliant mind.
The thing that impressed me the most wasn’t necessarily basketball, it was Kobe’s just other-worldly approach to life.
The fact he spoke several languages, his incredible work ethic, his obsessiveness with conquering his opponent, it is something truly to admire.
When a person or thing possess this much enigma of course you’re going to develop an attachment.
People crude remarks about a person just being a celebrity or any phrase that diminish significance just made me think about a classic piece of artwork I did.
The piece “THIS DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING” actually meant the exact opposite, everything on the picture actually mean something!
Whether it was the dropout bear that helped solidified my love for Ye, or the kingdom key from Kingdom Hearts, the video game that I can remember playing for countless hours trying to complete it.
This things may not mean anything, but given the right circumstances & the passage of time, anything can mean everything!

ALBUM CREDITS AND WHY THEY’RE IMPORTANT
ALBUM CREDITS and WHY THEY’RE IMPORTANT
Today a new Kanye album has released and it sparked something in me about album credits. Being that I heard the album during a livestream it made me wonder about who produced what, who’s featured, what are the name of these samples??!
Gone are the days of flipping through that CD book admiring the fresh photo shoot, reading the thank you note, and of course the album credits(which sometime featured lyrics).
Album credits are essential to an album because you can see everyone who contributed to the sound that are pleasing to your ears.
For example, Kanye West’s All of The Lights from his 2010 album “MY BEAUTIFUL DARK TWISTED FANTASY”. It was like a thousand people on that song and without the credits it would hard to identify everyone who was apart of that song.
1. everyone’s voice wasn’t distinguishable
2. Every person behind each instrument/lyric cannot be identified.
Album credits add to the excitement of the album. Even with my own album, if you check the iTunes info you can see the names of people I went to school with and samples I’ve used that may not be identifiable. It makes people wanna listen even more when they can identify with something so close to them like seeing they’re on name or hearing themselves.
With the digital takeover, the CD collector has been at a disadvantage with fully capturing the moment of purchasing a new album.
But thanks to Platforms like TIDAL that include the credits, users can get a sense of the old times once more.
