Every entrepreneur comes to the point where they have to face their expectations on what is support and who should support come from right now. I’ve been an artist all my life but I’ve been a serious commercial artist meaning I am actively pursuing a career in all my artistic endeavors since about the latter half of 2015.

Since then I’ve encountered what we refer to as “fake support” a billion times. Today’s article won’t focus on what isn’t support but it will simply states what is support. There is only two ways I feel that truly supports an entrepreneur’s journey.

I.SHARING

This part is completely free. If you call yourself “supporting” an entrepreneur friend the easiest thing you can do is share their work. Keeping your praises to their inboxes and private messages does nothing for their business, if anything it may harm it because constant praise can inflate one’s ego! So here’s what you do beloved on any social platform take a post of their you genuinely like and put it on your page and TAG them!

If you on Twitter, retweet and tweet links, on IG post on story if you’re generous do. a page post, Facebook do the same thing as IG! If you’re on snapchat post it and provide the link as an attachment. Do this beloved and don’t keep telling them its fire they should know that already!

II.FINANCIAL COMPENSATION

As an entrepreneur I personally know that getting people that personally know you to buy something from you is like pulling teeth! They would spend they money on everything under the sun except your business/service and then will complain about your prices or ask for something for free. If you clean windows your personal relationships will surely to ask you to clean their windows for free or say “man I gotta get you to clean my windows” or everytime they see you they’ll say “hey man I’m still going to get them windows clean we gotta make it happen”.

Entrepreneurs are often spending their own money funding their businesses and their business do not run on lip service. So saying man “I see you with your jewelry line” is not supporting the jewelry line in any shape or form. Yeah you see me with my jewelry line, you ain’t blind beloved! So what is financial compensation simple!

To support your entrepreneur friend/family through financial compensation is to pay full price for the product/service without distraught or complaint. Simple its putting your money where your mouth is. When you do that you are showing the businessperson you care for them because you care enough to spend money on their dreams. Spending your own hard earned money with someone you know is the most genuine thing you can do because you’re putting food on their table.

And that ladies and gentlemen is how you show true support!!

Yesterday I was working on something really cool for next series of WELÇOME© ( AYYEEEEE SERIES 003 coming soon ) and my photoshop program kept shutting down after it was moving sluggish. I got a little frustrated because I was trying to bring this great idea to life but I had to reassess and do a double take on the situation.

I. RESET

When it seem like everything in life is going wrong it may be a good idea to pull back and start over (as opposed to giving up). My program would not act right so it would end my frustrations to save this task for another day but instead I chose to simply close it and restart it to attempt my project again.

II. THE TROUBLE IS WORTH IT

It seems as if every time I try to give the world something new and creative technology finds a way to sabotage it. However no amount of sabotage in the world could've stopped me from going after what I set out accomplishing and in the end the toiling was totally worth it. Our lives always puts us in positions where we question "why can't anything seem to go right"? Soon after we've endured long enough, we learn to appreciate the grueling experience of disappointments and set backs which leads us to enjoy the fruits of our labor with gratitude and satisfaction.

THE KEY TO GETTING STARTED

In recent times you may have noticed a surge of people wanting to become entrepreneurs and/or expand their creative boundaries. Although many of these people just enjoy the thought of accomplishing something instead of actually pursuing it. Think of a new venture as playing a video game you just purchased. Usually when you play a game for the first time it asks you would you like a tutorial or skip straight ahead.

The tutorial doesn't seem like a bad idea but spending time on it takes away from you actually starting the game and that is what happens when people spend too much time in the research stage. To get started you don't have to learn every move of the game in the beginning it'd save you more time to just learn as you go and pick up on new skills by collaborating with more people. Its adjacent to playing your new game with someone else who already has it and they show you things that you didn't previously know how to do before.

Learning is essential but it can be crippling but the one thing that triumphs learning is applying what you learn. So skip all the lessons for now go ahead and get started now you're going to be happy that you did.
