“Jay-Z strolled in at exactly 11 o'clock. He was tall, about six-foot-two. We were expecting him to have an entourage, but surprisingly he showed up alone. He was wearing a knit cap and a jacket that he had produced with his new fashion company, Roc-A-Wear. I introduced him to everyone and took him to the dressing room. He said he didn’t want to use makeup and that the only wardrobe he wanted was what he was wearing.”
