WE WANT THE SOURCES

Recently my classmates and I have been hard at work on our research papers. Our research paper requires us to cite the sources for the information that is included in our paper. Citing sources is the ultimate drag *shikamaru voice* but the purpose of it is so fundamental the paper couldn't survive without it. The research process made me think about why as a society we care about sources so much.

People make a lot of decisions based on the source. For example, if someone wants to purchase rare expensive shoes a lot of questions will be asked before anyone fork over that amount of money. People will inquire about its authenticity, the person's credibility, all which are questions that deals with the importance of a source.

In our research paper, incorrect sources can lead to attorneys making a fool of themselves in the courtroom and a possible malpractice suit (occurs when a lawyer does bad law) therefore sources cannot be jeopardized.

Sources that meets a reasonable person standard can save a whole lot of time, headaches, and miscommunication so it is best when the sources are questioned, prove that the sources are credible to ensure a smooth transaction.
