One of my favorite fictional characters of all time and something like a hero to me. (Note: All my Heroes are fictional characters.)
I admire his determination, devotion to fighting, understanding and nobility.
Fighting is everything to Ryu, he doesn’t do it for money or recognition. Through combat he tests himself, finds clarity and gains understanding. To Ryu, winning is the mere byproduct of his finely tuned skill, ability and perseverance. His sole goal in life is to be the strongest he can possibly be, and it often seems that he has yet to reach his peak.
