EASIEST WAY TO FIND YOUR PERSON ( OR CLOSE TO IT LMAO)

Easiest Way to Find Your Person (Or Close to It, LMAO)
October 31, 2024

First off, I hate talking about dating and relationships on the internet. It grinds my gears because that’s all I see, and it’s all people seem to live for—especially women, lmao. But today, I’m just going to give a simple blueprint.

Start By Walking In Your Purpose

When you reach a point where you’re ready to seriously date, the first thing you should focus on is walking in your purpose. If you’re in your late 20s or 30s, you’ve probably figured out that you’re not likely to meet someone of quality in the club, bar, or other low-vibrational spaces. Not saying it’s impossible, but it’s wise not to set your expectations there.

Personal Experience: The Right Path, Right Partner

Take me, for example. I met my current girlfriend while we were both in law school—both of us were focused on one of our life’s assignments. That purpose led us together and allowed us to start building something real. Before that? I couldn’t tell you how many times my attempts at dating other women failed miserably.

Why? Because none of those relationships began with me walking in purpose. Whether I met them randomly online, at a party, or even in a McDonald’s (back when I used to eat there, lmao), none of those connections led to a quality partner. Looking back, I’m grateful because most would’ve just been distractions.

Stay Focused on Your Mission

Distractions can pop up at any time—even if you’re working toward your goals. So stay disciplined. If you’re knee-deep in your work as a video game developer, for example, you might meet someone outside your field, but you’ll know they’re meant to be in your life if they come in as a genuine supporter.

A Partner Who Lifts You Up

Back to my experience—my girlfriend has helped me through a lot, including law school. (And yeah, a couple of classes I probably wouldn’t have passed without her, but please don’t tell her that, lmao.) She’s also encouraged me to live a healthier lifestyle—helping me cut back on cookies, get into zero-sugar options, and count calories.

The Key to Finding "Your Person"? Stop Looking

Another key factor to finding your person is not looking. You’ve got dreams, right? So why wake up thinking about a relationship every day? Focus on the grind, beloved. Anything serious I’ve experienced came when I wasn’t looking for it—it just stumbled into my path, and I acted accordingly.

When the opportunity presents itself, step up to the plate and swing that bat, beloved!
